David Willis Entertainment and Merimbula’s Magic Mountain are excited to host one of the Sapphire Coast’s biggest events ever! Cosentino the Grand Illusionist will be performing on Magic Mountain’s Rock House Stage, for two magical nights over Easter,2016. A true all round entertainer, Cosentino was runner up in the 2011’s highest rating TV show Australia’s Got Talent. According to the Sunday Telegraph, “Cosentino is the most successful entertainer to emerge from reality TV in Australia.” He has been awarded International Magician of the Year and has won the prestigious Merlin Award. Cosentino will be performing on the evenings of Easter Saturday, 26th March and Easter Sunday, 27th March. The gates will open from 5.30 pm. Food and drinks will be available thoughout this alcohol-free night. Talented teenager, Lochie Marsen will perform from 5.30 until 6.30 pm followed by The Figments from 6.30 until 8.00 pm. Magic Mountain is a Smoke Free Zone, with the exception of the Designated Smoking Area in the middle of the Park with shade and seating provided.
Purchase an Annual Pass at Magic Mountain, and not only will you be guaranteed ONE FULL YEAR OF FUN, but also receive direct access to the Park via the VIP Entrance. Annual Passes are available for children (4 -11 yrs) for $90 and older children and adults (12 yrs plus) for $100. Magic Mountain’s significant contribution to the Tourism Industry on the South Coast of NSW has been recognised recently. The Park was awarded a Bronze place in the South Coast Tourism Awards for 2013. The South Coast Regional Tourism Awards were judged in two parts: Firstly, entrants were required to present a written submission detailing core business objectives, customer service goals and the contribution made to the local community and tourism industry. Secondly, Site Inspections were carried out by Judges appointed by the South Coast Regional Tourism Organisation. Magic Mountain congratulates the other winners in this category: Mogo Zoo was awarded Gold, and Illawarra Fly Treetops Walk was awarded Silver.Magic Mountain is proud to be recognised as an important Tourism icon within the region and is committed to working with community stakeholders to strengthen and grow the Tourism Industry on the Far South Coast.
Magic Mountain was recently awarded a place in Trip Advisor’s Travellers’ Choice 2013 Top Ten Water Parks and Amusement Parks in the South Pacific. On Sunday, 24th November, Magic Mountain celebrated the Park’s 30th Birthday. Toos and Graham Mayberry, who were two of the original owners of Magic Mountain returned to the Park to celebrate with the current owners: Rob and Ann Wright, Ros and Murray Beveridge and Elaine and Kevin Philistin.
The mood of the day was jubilant. Visitors enjoyed half price unlimited ride passes, Rhys the Magician, and a Lolly Scramble.
The Rides stopped for 15 minutes whilst visitors, staff and owners sang “Happy Birthday” and cut the metre long chocolate Birthday Cake. Murray Beveridge spoke of the Park’s success as an Award Winning Tourist Attraction and praised the staff for their hard work, dedication and commitment to ensuring visitors have a fun, safe, and value packed tourist experience at Magic Mountain year after year. From the 27th of November, Magic Mountain will be open 7 days a week from 10am to 4pm.
